CHINEDU VICTOR UYAELUNMO

Chinedu Victor Uyaelunmo (b. 1998) is an abstract figurative, Nigerian born artist based in New York.  The artist utilizes pallet knives and brush strokes to create abstract elements in his paintings. He uses art to express thoughts, feelings and ideas that he would like to bring to life. He loves painting in large canvases because he wants to create things that are larger than life.

 

Chinedu was born in Lagos Nigeria and moved to the United States at the age of 14. He moved here on an athletic scholarship to play basketball. He played basketball in high school and also played Division 1 basketball at University of Southern California and Towson University where he received his BSc in Economics and is currently an MFA candidate at the New York Academy of art.
